ABOUT Brendon Rodney

Running with the Canadian 4x100m team, Brendon has won bronze medals at the 2016 Olympics and 2015 IAAF World Championships. His 19.96 200m to win his second national title in 2016 leaves him second on the Canadian all-time rankings behind Andre De Grasse.

His first taste of the international limelight came in 2013 when he was fifth over the half lap at the World University Games and helped Canada to silver medals there in the 4x400m.

Individually in the 200m, he reached the semi-finals of the World Championships in 2015 and failed to progress from the heats of Rio 2016. On both occasions he followed on by running the third leg in the relay. He also qualified from the preliminaries of the 100m at the 2017 World Championships and he then clocked 10.36 for sixth in his heat.
