Both Marquis and Brianna Shine at the World Indoors with a Gold and Silver Medal as they take centre stage at Oregon Convention Centre in Portland.
World leader Marquis displayed his potential and lived up to expectations and took his first senior global title in the long jump at the World Indoors. Marquis opened up with a jump of 8.05m but then in the second round leapt to 8.26m to take the lead. Which eventually sealed the Gold medal just one centimetre ahead of Australia’s Fabrice Lapierre.
Earlier Brianna clinch a Silver Medal in a tightly finish race over the 60mh where only a hair’s breadth separated Gold and Silver Places. It took a photo finish to determine the places. Brianna was pleased with her performance although she stumbled slightly whilst emerging from the blocks Brianna did well to recover and lead midway through the race.
A brilliant start for both Marquis and Brianna as they now set their sights on the Olympic Games in Rio.

Well done to all Stellar athletes who took part in the World indoors.
