Levern makes history for St Lucia as  she wins the island’s first Gold Medal at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. Levern cleared the bar at a season best of 1.95 m to win the gold medal in the women’s high jump with a brilliant performance, Levern  dominated the field  throughout the event.  Levern has represented her country in two previous Commonwealth games 2010 and 2014 bringing home a bronze medal from both Championships, St Lucia have waited 56-years  for a Commonwealth Games Gold medal and Levern quoted “It’s a really good feeling and I am happy I’m the one making history for my country.
